On the 28th of April, 2023, the supervising prosecutor approved the bill of indictment of the criminal proceedings for organizing illegal migration of 16 Armenian citizens and sent the materials on the case to the Court.

Public criminal prosecution has been initiated against 5 persons in the Main Directorate of Investigation under Article 470, Part 3, Point 1 of the Criminal Code of the RA (organization of illegal migration by a group with prior consent).

It was discovered during the proceedings that the mentioned persons had organized illegal migration of 16 Armenian citizens to the United States of America with prior consent, for 18 and 26 thousand AMD, by submitting false documents.

Detention is selected as a preventive measure against one of the defendants and bail for 4 of them.

Notice:  A person charged with any crime shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code – by the judgment came into legal force.
