R.V. holding a position of deputy head of Gyulagarak community of Lori region from 24 November 2017 to 22 September 2021, failed to submit a declaration.

Particularly, under criminal proceedings initiated by the Anti-corruption committee on 16 May 2022, data was obtained on the fact that R.V., deputy head of Gyulagarak community failed to submit a declaration prescribed by the law within 30 days, after imposition of administrative fine. 

The criminal proceedings with a bill of indictment was sent to the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lori region on 22 June 2022.

On 10 February 2023, the court rendered a judgment of conviction and  R.V. was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 14.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (failure to submit the declaration to the Corruption Prevention Commission) and sentenced to fine amounting to AMD 680 000.

The prosecutor lodged an appeal against the abovementioned decision on 16 March 2023 by filing a motion on overturning the decision on punishment.

In addition to the already imposed type of punishment (fine), the prosecutor required to impose an additional punishment—deprivation of the right to hold certain positions.
