Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan departed for a working visit to the People's Republic of China to attend the 61st meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), which will be held in Shanghai.

It should be reminded that on September 9, 2025, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan was elected as a member of the IAP Executive Committee at the IAP General Assembly held in the Republic of Singapore.

The Executive Committee is the governing and administrative body of the IAP. It consists of the President, Vice Presidents, and 20 members.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has been a member of the IAP since January 1, 1999, but was nominated as a member of the Executive Committee in 2025 for the first time.

The Association was founded in 1995 and aims to support all prosecutors in promoting the rule of law and ensuring full compliance with IAP standards of professional conduct.

In addition to the 61st meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), a meeting is scheduled in Shanghai between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of China of the PRC, Ying Yong, and Secretary General of the International Association of Prosecutors, Roel Dona.
