Anna Vardapetyan thanked Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, YSU rector for the invitation, for the opportunity to participate in a discussion on a current issue and referring to the knowledge received during the period of university education, highlighted, that it must serve for broadening individual’s worldview, help to orient himself/herself in various areas of public life, formulate analytical skills and help to orient in decision making. “In other words, today’s expectation of our country and society from the university may be formulated as a transition from memory-based knowledge to the education helping to develop analytical skills”, mentioned RA prosecutor General and added that nowadays the topic of education formulating analytical skills is much spoken about, however there are few discussions on practical and applicable methodology of such education.
According to Anna Vardapetyan, education formulating analytical skills may not be anachronistic. “It must be based on the recognition of the past and analysis of the experience, however for “having the place to exist” it must also be sufficiently viable”, mentioned the Prosecutor General of the Republic.
Let us remind that the aim of the YSU alumni forum is to create a cooperation and communication platform for the YSU graduates of different years, giving them the opportunity to present their professional experience and achievements, to discuss current issues and to address the opportunities and challenges of different sectors in Armenia, our region as well as globally.
