Based on the decision of Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia dated March 5, 2025 a disciplinary penalty was initiated against the person holding an autonomous position in one of the departments of the Prosecutor General’s Office.  

In the scope of the proceedings it was confirmed that the prosecutor failed to properly perform his/her official duties and violated the rules of conduct of the prosecutor.

In particular, failed to attend court sitting due to invalid reason. 

On April 17, 2025, the results of the disciplinary proceedings were submitted to the Ethics Commission under the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

By the decision of the Ethics commission dated April 18, 2025, both the existence of disciplinary violation and the guilt of the prosecutor were confirmed.

By the order of the Prosecutor General of April 18, 2025, a disciplinary penalty in the form of “severe reprimand” was applied against the prosecutor.
