Imprisonment for the term of 4 years for receiving a bribe by extortion

Pursuant to the judgment of conviction of the Anti-corruption dated February 13, 2025, A.P. holding the position of the road inspector of the Road Police was sentenced to imprisonment for the term of 4 years.

 

On February 8, 2020 a charge was brought against A.P. under point 1 of part 3 of article 311 of the Criminal Code adopted on April 18, 2003 (receiving a bribe by extortion).

 

On March 19, 2020, the prosecutor signed the indictment regarding A.P. and submitted to the court with the materials of the case.

 

On February 13, 2025 the Anti-Corruption Court considered the commission of a criminally punishable act by A.P. and his guilt in the mentioned crime proven and rendered a judgment of conviction. A.P. was sentenced to imprisonment for the term of 4 years. Pursuant to the judgment the actual term of A.P.’s imprisonment shall be set-off to the defined punishment and the final punishment shall be imprisonment for the term of 3 years 10 months and 19 days.
