Under the leadership of Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, on February 28, 2024, work implemented in 2023 by the Prosecutor's Offices of Ajapniak and Davtashen, as well as Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts has been summarized.

 

According to Zhora Tovmasyan, the Prosecutor of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts, 1,736 cases of crime were registered in Ajapniak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan in 2023. 21.5% decrease of crime cases was recorded.

 

Compared to 2022, in 2023 the cases of medium gravity crimes decreased by 57 cases or 10%, the cases of grave crimes increased by 33 cases or 13.5%, the cases of particularly grave crimes increased by 43 cases or 67.2%.

 

According to Armen Oseyan, Prosecutor of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, 2,558 crime cases were registered in 2023 (138 cases or 5.1% less ompared to 2022).

 

In the reporting year, 371 cases of crimes against human were registered, compared to 411 cases recorded in 2022. 998 cases of crimes against property were registered (in 2022 - 1359 cases).

 

In 2023, 353 cases of illegal drug trafficking were registered, compared to 153 cases in 2022.

 

In 2023, 13 claims and 1 property claim were submitted to the court by the Prosecutor's office of the administrative district, within the scope of the authority to initiate a claim for state interests protection (community) (in 2022 - 1 claim). One of the claims was connected to the alienation of the “Shogher” manger kindergarten.
