Based on the decision of Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia dated January 26, 2024 a disciplinary penalty was initiated against the person holding an autonomous position in the Prosecutor’s Office of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of the city of Yerevan.

In the scope of the proceedings it was confirmed that the prosecutor failed to properly perform his/her official duties and violated the rules of conduct of the prosecutor. Failed to attend three court sittings appointed under criminal cases due to invalid reasons and one court sitting—due to a valid reason.

On February 16, 2024, the results of the disciplinary proceedings were submitted to the Ethics Commission under the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

By the decision of the Ethics commission dated February 21, 2024, both the existence of disciplinary violation and the guilt of the prosecutor were confirmed.

By the order of the Prosecutor General of February 22, 2024, a disciplinary penalty in the form of “reprimand” was applied against the person holding an autonomous position in the Prosecutor’s Office of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of the city of Yerevan.
