H.S. holding the position of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Yerevan State University from 2000 until June 30, 2023, together with G.T., assistant professor of the same Faculty and A.N. Deputy Dean, requested and received AMD 2 million 300 thousand during February 2023 for committing illegal acts and practicing favoritism in favor of 6 students.

On September 28, 2023, the Prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against H.S., the former Dean of the Faculty under points 1 and 3 of part 2 of article 435 (4 counts), point 3 of part 2 of the same article and points 1,2 and 3 of part 2 of the same article of the Criminal Code, against A.N., Deputy Dean under points 1,2 and 3 of part 2 of article 435 of the Criminal Code, against G.T., assistant professor under points 1 and 3 of part 2 of article 435 of the Criminal Code (4 counts) and against the citizen P.H. under points 2, 3 of part 2 of article 436 of the Criminal Code.

On October 5, 2023 the Prosecutor signed the indictment and submitted to the Anti-corruption court with the materials of the case.

On October 11, 2023 the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia submitted a written motion to the rector of “Yerevan State University” foundation suggesting to discuss the issue of subjecting the relevant employees of the Faculty to disciplinary liability, as well as the appropriateness of continuing their employment.
