Kh.A., the former Head of the Armavir Protection Division of the Police General Department of State Protection (hereinafter referred to as “GSP Department) embezzled 49 million 472 thousand AMD with the help of a group of people.

During the criminal proceedings, it was found that Kh.A. concluded facility maintenance contracts with 42 individuals and legal entities during 2013-2018. R.M., V.M. A.Z. and Kh.A., who in different years were the heads of the Police GSP Department, instructed to embezzle money from the rents to be provided by business entities based on the above contracts, giving them a monthly share of the embezzled money.

Then, on the instructions of Kh.A., A.A., the squad commander of the same department, collected the sums envisaged by the signed contracts for the maintenance of the facilities, which he completely transferred Kh.A., in order to hide the circumstances of the theft with the prior agreement with S.V. and G.A., who held the position of accountant of the department in different years, deliberately falsified reports and documents, which are official documents.

On July 21, 2023, the Prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecution against Kh.A., under Clause 3 of Article 256(3) And Article 445(1) of the RA Criminal Code; against A.A., R.M., A.Z. ­­­– under Clause 3 of Article 46-256(3), against G.A. – under Clause 3 of Article 46-256(3) and Article 445(1) of the same Code.

On August 11, 2023, the Prosecutor submitted the materials of the criminal proceedings to the Anti-Corruption Court with an indictment.
