The issues of prosecutorial accountability and ethics were touched upon during the conference "Prosecutorial Independence in Upholding the Rule of Law" launched on July 1, on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Prosecutor's Office and the Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office.
During the panel discussions, reports were made by Antonio Vercher, Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE) President (2021-2022) and current member of the Bureau, Council of Europe Consultant and Davor Derenčinović, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights in respect of Croatia, Artashes Melikyan, Head of the CCPE Secretariat, Mr Boštjan Škrlec, Eurojust Vice-President and Andres Parmas, Prosecutor General.
Concluding the results of the Conference on July 1, the Prosecutor General of RA expressed gratitude to the speakers of the conference for addressing practical challenges related to the prosecutorial independence, national models and the particular riskiness of prosecutors' activities.
