The results of the activity of Prosecutor’s offices of Armavir and Vayots Dzor regions were summarized on February 21 and 23, under the supervision of Artur Poghosyan, Deputy Prosecutor General.
Deputy Prosecutor General visited the Prosecutor’s office of Armavir region, where Vahan Sargsyan, the Prosecutor of the Region provided information on the state and dynamics of crime, circumstances contributing the commission of crime as well as disclosure rates.
According to Vahan Sargsyan, the number of the crime rate increased by 310, amounting to 2161(1851 crime cases in 2021) in Armavir region during 2022. The number of crimes against property decreased by 38 amounting to 7002, the cases of burglary increased by 5 amounting to 71. The number of cases of brigandage, appropriation of personal property and theft decreased. The cases of illegal drug trafficking increased in the region by 80 amounting to 234 (154 cases during 2021).
The analysis of the total number of corruption crimes in the Prosecutor’s Office of Armavir region during 2022 and their disclosure rate showed that the number of disclosure decreased. In this regard the Prosecutor of the region gave assignments on activating intelligence measures.
The results of the activity of Prosecutor’s office of Vayots Dzor region during 2022 were summarized on February 23, under the supervision of Artur Poghosyan, Deputy Prosecutor General.
According to Aspurak Avetisyan, the number of the crime rate increased compared with the previous year: 422 crime cases were recorded (303 crime cases in 2021). The number of crimes of medium gravity increased by 102 amounting to 172 (70 cases during 2021), the number of grave crimes increased by 2 amounting to 45 cases (43 cases during 2021). The cases of burglary increased by 2 and decreased the number of theft of the personal property, fraud, appropriation and misapplication. The cases of illegal drug trafficking as well as arms trafficking and hooliganism increased during 2022.
Artur Poghosyan, Deputy Prosecutor General gave assignments to the prosecutors of the regions on excluding the cases of non-attendance to court sittings and keeping the cases, that are examined for more than 8 months and the reasons of delay of examination at the center of their attention.
