The results of the activity of Prosecutor’s offices of Ararat and Syunik regions were summarized on February 16 and 17, under the supervision of Gevorg Baghdasaryan, Deputy Prosecutor General.
They provided information on the state of crime recorded in the regions, circumstances contributing the commission of crime as well as disclosure rates to Gevorg Baghdasaryan.
Masis Poghosyan, Prosecutor of Syunik region mentioned that 24 cases of drug trafficking were recorded during 2022 (32 cases during 2021) including 10 cases of realization.
The results of the activity of Shengavit, Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of the city of Yerevan during 2022 were summarized under the supervision of Gevorg Baghdasaryan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.
According to Gevorg Gevorgyan, Prosecutor of Shengavit administrative district, 2406 crime cases were recorded during 2022 (1942 cases in 2021). The number of grave crimes also increased amounting to 86 cases (35 cases in 2021).
According to Zhora Tovmasyan, Acting Prosecutor of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts, the number of crime cases increased in the administrative districts during 2022 amounting to 2212 cases (1507 cases during 2021). Zhora Tovmasyan informed that the number of crimes against human increased by 109, amounting to 274 cases.
Gevorg Baghdasaryan, Deputy Prosecutor General gave assignments to the prosecutors of the regions and administrative districts, to be consistent with the criminal proceedings examined for more than 8 months, to follow the deadlines of appointed examinations and to intensify the fight against illegal drug circulation.
