On 30 December 2022, the Anti-Corruption Court delivered a guilty verdict and convicted the former investigator V.G., the Head of the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan of the Investigative Committee of the RA for intentional failure to submit a declaration on property and income. Fine in the amount of fifteen-fold of the minimum salary was applied as a mean of punishment against him (one million twenty thousand AMD).

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the former investigator V.G., during the period of working in the mentioned position appeared a person with the duty to submit a declaration in accordance with the procedure defined by Article 34 of the RA Law "On Public Service". On 29 July 2020, resigning from the office, V.G. failed to submit a declaration on termination of his official duties for 2022 to the Anti-Corruption Committee within 30 days.

The latter did not submit the declaration even later, after receiving the relevant notification by the Anti-Corruption Committee and was subjected to an administrative penalty on 2 September 2021. The former investigator deliberately did not submit the declaration within 30 days after receiving a notification as well. 

A criminal prosecution was initiated against V.G. and the materials of the proceedings were handed over to the Anti-Corruption Court with the indictment approved on 5 September 2022.
