Earlier, the RA  Prosecutor General's Office has published the results of the criminal law struggle against corruption-related crimes  during 2018. It has also been reported that in  near future details of statistics on separate corruption-related crimes will be published. Accordingly.

1. Swindling,  committed by abuse of one’s official position

On the features  of the above-mentioned crime 189 material have been prepared. On 145 of them  criminal cases have been initiated, which exceeds the figure of the previous year by 29 times.

2. Squandering or embezzlement, committed by abuse of one’s official position

447 materials have been prepared, on 383 of them criminal cases have been initiated (in 2017 - 34).

3. Abuse of official authority.

396 materials have been prepared (in 2017 - 155), on 214 of them criminal cases have been initiated (in 2017 - 107).

4. Exceeding official authorities.

164 materials have been prepared (in 2017 - 67), on 115 of them criminal cases have been initiated (in 2017 - 54).

5.  Official forgery.

On the occasion of the above-mentioned crimes 143 materials have been prepared or compared to 2017  (44)  3.25 times more, on 100 of them criminal cases have been initiated,  which exceeds the result of 2017 (34) almost three times.

6. Money laundering

On the occasion of the above-mentioned crimes 7 materials have been prepared , on which criminal cases have been initiated. In 2017 on corpus delicti of this crime no materials have been  prepared.

7. Receiving of illegal reward by a public servant who is not an official person, giving of illegal reward to a public servant who is not an official person

Based on the features of two corpus delicti  180 materials have been  prepared (2017-4), on 154  of them criminal cases have been initiated(2017-3).

8. Taking bribes,  giving a bribe , bribery mediation

Based on the features of three corpus delicti  197 materials have been  prepared (2017-63), on 153  of them criminal cases have been initiated(2017-57).

It should also be noted that the preliminary investigation of a significant part of criminal cases concerning persons subject to criminal prosecution has been  postponed to 2019.

In total, 960 persons have been  prosecuted over the past year on corruption-related criminal cases investigated in the proceedings of the preliminary investigation bodies,  470 of them have been the officials.

The number of officials who have been prosecuted last year, depending on the scope of their activities and position, has the following picture.

1. Police officers - 17 persons.
2. Officials of the Compulsory enforcement service of judicial acts of the RA Ministry of Justice, employees of compulsory execution - 3 people
3. Officials of the State revenue committee of the Republic of Armenia - 14 people
4. Fire rescuer of the Ministry of emergency situations of the Republic of Armenia- 1 person
5. Head of the regional investigation department of the Investigative committee of the Republic of Armenia and deputy head of the investigation department -2, investigators of the investigation department of the Republic of Armenia (senior investigator) -7, former investigator of the prosecutor's office -1
6. NSS and Armed Forces- 4 people
7. Employees of the penitentiary department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia - 15 people
