According to the preliminary investigation of  the criminal case, initiated on June 15 on the grounds of p. 2 art. 235 of the RA Criminal Code, the Investigation Department of the National Security Service has proved that MP Manvel Grigoryan illegally purchased a large number of firearms, ammunition,  kept them in his private houses, premises or territories under his leadership.

On June 18 the RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan submitted a petition to the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia for consent to institute criminal proceedings against the MP Manvel Grigoryan, as well as the use of detention  as a  measure  of restraint against Manvel Grigoryan.
