On December 13 the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan held an online meeting with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania Nida Grunskiene and discussed the prospects of cooperation between the law enforcement bodies of two countries.
The Prosecutors General of Armenia and Lithuania have discussed a range of issues of mutual interest connected with the improvement of good conduct of prosecutors, implementation of joint training programs and exchange of experience in a number of fields.
The Prosecutors General also agreed to sign a Cooperation Memorandum in near future on increasing the effectiveness of prosecutorial supervision over the investigation of cases on crimes, electronic criminal proceedings, initiating a lawsuit for the protection of state interests by the Prosecutor's Office, as well as other directions.
The Prosecutor General of Armenia also informed her Lithuanian counterpart about the process of bringing the scientific-practical and educational journal "Legality" of the Prosecutor's Office in line with international standards and invited Lithuanian colleagues to publish their scientific articles in this journal.
Anahit Manasyan, the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia participating in the meeting, summarized the results and agreements of the meeting with Nida Grunskiene in Lithuania on November 25, 2022 and reaffirmed the agreements to deepen cooperation in the areas discussed.
The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania, Nida Grunskiene, expressed her willingness to deepen cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of Armenia and invited the delegation of the Prosecutor's Office to Lithuania to get acquainted with the Lithuanian system of electronic management of criminal proceedings in pre-trial phase.
