As a result of operational-search activities carried out by the employees of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, data were obtained on persons occupying the highest status in the criminal hierarchy, the creation and leadership of a criminal subcultural group by a person with the highest status in the criminal hierarchy, as well as a number of persons participating in a criminal subcultural group and pursuing it to involve in the implementation of goals.
If there were sufficient grounds, on April 7, 2022, a criminal case was initiated under the relevant articles.
In the course of the criminal proceedings, as a result of the joint actions of the RA Investigative Committee and employees of the National Security Service, under the coordination of the RA Prosecutor General's Office, sufficient factual evidence was obtained that the so-called. thief in law S.A., who occupies the highest status in the criminal hierarchy, was in charge of a group carrying a criminal subculture, through which he gave assignments to different people to deal with private issues.
In addition, in accordance with the rules of conduct defined and recognized by the criminal subcultural group "S.A.", in order to achieve the goals of the group through various persons who took part in the criminal subcultural group and are involved in the implementation of its goals, clearly distributing the roles of the method of action of the latter, organized the collection of funds from various persons, as well as from penitentiary institutions, disposed of illegal benefits received through a criminal subcultural group, the so-called "Obshak" money.
On the totality of the evidence obtained with the decisions of the prosecutor supervising the pre-trial proceedings dated July 6, 2022. criminal prosecution was initiated against 7 persons, 3 of which are persons with the highest status in the criminal hierarchy, including 2 so-called "thieves in law".
6 people were detained, searches were carried out and about 180,000 US dollars were seized.
Notice: Every person suspected in or charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent unless proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code and unless the verdict comes into legal force.
