On April 27, 2022, the Court of General Jurisdiction of First Instance of Yerevan filed another claim for confiscation of property of illegal origin, which was accepted for proceedings.
According to the latter, the Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the RA General Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit to confiscate property from S. Ohanyan and 3 persons affiliated with him in favor of the Republic of Armenia, in particular: 2 public plots in Yerevan, a mansion in an elite district Vahagni, as well as one vehicle, and if it is impossible - the average market value of the above-mentioned in the amount of 1.092.538.513 drams.
The following amount is also subject to confiscation: 477.473.907 drams as the balance of illegal funds, as well as 600.762.179 drams, not justified by the legal income of a person of illegal origin, transferred to a bona fide purchaser or cannot be identified and confiscated on the basis of Part 4 of Art. 20 of the law "On confiscation of property of illegal origin".
The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the RA General Prosecutor's Office filed suits for the confiscation of illegal property in other cases, in which preliminary interim measures have already been applied, which will be reported about.
