Artur Davtyan, the RA Prosecutor General pays a four-day official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
In the framework of the visit, meetings are foreseen, in particular, with the Prosecutor General of the Arab Republic of Egypt and with the Head of the Administrative Control Service.
It is planned to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the result of the meetings.
The visit aims at giving new start to the warm, friendly relations to the legal spheres between Armenia and Egypt based on the Agreements on the provision of mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and extradition between the two countries, signed in Cairo on April 15, 2007, as well as promotion of cooperation between the prosecutor's offices in this context.
Artur Davtyan received the invitation from the Prosecutor General of Egypt to visit Cairo for the above-mentioned objectives on December 2021 when he was participating in the 9th session of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) in Sharm El Sheikh.
