A lawsuit was filed to the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan city for confiscation of property of illegal origin on March 9, 2022.
The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia claimed to the court to confiscate from Vahram Guroghlyan, the former employee of the State Revenue Committee and 3 persons affiliated with him in favor of the Republic of Armenia, in particular,
8 apartments in Yerevan city and 6 car parking stations on the Northern Avenue, 4 plots of social use, a rest zone in Kotayk Region, 2 land plots, as well as 2 transportation mean, and in case of impossibility their average market value, which is totally 1.601.422.519 AMD.
Monetary means paid for 2 real estates located at the Republic of Austria, considered illegal, 170.826.728 AMD.
293.328.805,1 AMD as a remaining balance of illegal funds.
748.762.865,56 AMD, which is not substantiated by the legal income of a person, has an illegal origin and it is not possible to confiscate on the ground of Article 20, Part 4 of the Law on Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin.
Studies on numerous proceedings are underway at the Department for Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia. In other cases lawsuits for confiscation of property of illegal origin will be filed in the near future.
This is the 5th lawsuit connected with the confiscation of property of illegal origin after the establishment of the above-mentioned department at the RA Prosecutor General's Office.
