On January 11th, 2022 the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, grossly violating the ceasefire regime, by using various weapons, including firearms, artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles, motivated by national hatred, fired intensively the territory of the military unite of the RA Ministry of Defense in the direction of the Armenian military bases located in the Gegharkunik region of the Republic Armenia.
As a result of the military actions carried out, 3 servicemen of the RA Armed Forces received fatal bodily injuries.
On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of the 5th garrison of the MIGD of the IC of the RA on the grounds of a crime under Points 1, 2, 6, 7 and 13 of Part 2 of Art. 104 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
In addition, on the same day, as a result of provocative actions carried out by the enemy in the direction of the Armenian positions from 15:50 to 18:20, two conscripts of the military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense received various bodily injuries. However, the murder was not completed, as the wounded servicemen were taken to the Gegharkunik garrison hospital of the Republic of Armenia, where they were provided with the necessary medical assistance.
On the fact of this case, a criminal case was also initiated in the Investigative Division of the 5th garrison of the MIGD of the IC of the RA on the grounds of a crime under Points 1, 2, 6, 7 and 13 of Part 2 of Art. 34-104 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
