In recent days, certain political forces and social groups have spread announcements about organizing rallies via mass media and social networks.

We clarify that according to the 8th point of the appendix to the RA Government Decision N 1586-Ն of September 27, 2020 "On declaring martial law in the Republic of Armenia", organizing and participating in rallies, strikes in the whole territory of the Republic of Armenia is prohibited.

It is also clarified that according to Point 10 of Article 182.5 of the RA Code "On Administrative Offenses" organizing and participating in strikes and rallies, during the martial law shall result in a fine in the amount of 400 to 700 minimal salaries.

In addition, Article 307.1 of the RA Criminal Code as a punishment establishes imprisonment for up to 5 years for violating measures and temporary restrictions established during the marital law, including organizing and participating in strikes and rallies, which negligently caused the death of a person or other serious consequences.

Therefore, in order to avoid negative legal consequences, we urge you to show common sense, not to violate the restrictions arising from the legal regime of martial law, to refrain from organizing or participating in rallies.
