On January 13, 2020 the RA Military Prosecutor, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia V. Harutyunyan, accompanied by the Head of the Conscription and Mobilization Service of the RA Ministry of Defense, A. Avtandilyan, visited the central assembly point of the RA Ministry of Defense, where the RA Military Prosecutor took part in the process of organizing military conscription and personally monitored process of drawing lots, order and drawing lots conditions.
At the central assembly point, the Military Prosecutor met with conscripts and their relatives, heard their concerns and suggestions. The Military Prosecutor attached importance to the fact that there were no complaints about the impartiality of drawing lots by parents and conscripts.
V. Harutyunyan was also present during the works of organization of medical examinations of the assembly point, during which he talked both with specialist doctors and with conscripts undergoing examination, he heard the health problems of the latter. In order to dispel doubts about the state of health of individuals, the RA Military Prosecutor ordered to examine these conscripts once again and more thoroughly.
Summarizing the proposals, complaints and concerns presented to him, the RA Military Prosecutor presented to the Head of the Conscription and Mobilization Service of the RA Ministry of Defense his remarks aimed at improving organizational issues.
On the whole, accessing the process of organizing conscription as sufficient, at the end of the visit V. Harutyunyan wished safe service to the young people who were replenishing the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia .
