State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the RA has received information from the RA Nature Protection and Soil Inspection Body that a case of illegal use of natural resources has been revealed in Araks community of Armavir region.
In particular, during a study carried out by the Department for the Protection of State Interests of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia, it has been found out that as a result of land demolition land degradation has occurred in Araks community of Armavir region and damage in the amount of 1.188.834 AMD has been caused to nature.
Considering that the recorded violations contain elements of crime, State Interests Protection Department of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office has initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
The preliminary investigation has been entrusted to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
