Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office has reviewed the state of criminal cases initiated concerning corruption-related crimes / for the first 4 months of 2019 /, as well as the state of damage inflicted on the state and its recovery, and as a result it has been found out that: concerning the corruption-related crimes detected during 4 months of 2019, the competent authorities of the Republic of Armenia have initiated 295 criminal cases, and within the framework of the mentioned cases the total amount of the damage to the state has been 22.399.524.499 AMD.
From the above-mentioned cases, 9.089.267.645 AMD has been identified by the investigative department of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, 1.697.800.000 AMD - SIS RA, and 11.611.062.838 AMD – in the result of the preliminary investigation of cases investigated or considered by the RA Investigative Committee.
From the amount of the total damage identified for 4 months of 2019, 1.902.212.059 AMD has been recovered, and damage amounting to about 203.598.250 AMD has been guaranteed by the necessary criminal procedural instruments, that is, arrest of immovable and movable property, currency.
From the above-mentioned cases, 967.904 AMD has been recovered in the investigative department of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, 1.655.800.000 AMD in the SSS RA, and 243.944.155 AMD during the course of the preliminary investigation of cases investigated or considered in the proceedings of the RA Investigative Committee.
