03.08.2018 | 46 studies, 25 criminal cases, 36 lawsuits. Semi-annual results of State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia

Within the framework of clarifying the grounds for filing a lawsuit for the protection of state interest, State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia during the first half of 2018 has conducted 46 studies on the state of the protection of state interests in various spheres of public administration.

 

During the investigation, damage in the amount of 31.573.759 AMD caused to the state has been voluntarily restored by the initiative of the Prosecutor's Office.

 

13 criminal cases have been initiated by the prosecutors of the department concerning a number of violations. Within the framework of the mentioned cases the damage caused to the state has been amounted to 1 billion 917 million AMD.  The results of the investigation of 23 cases concerning the damage in the amount of 525 million 988 thousand AMD have been sent to investigative bodies and by them 12 criminal cases have been initiated. Thus by initiated criminal cases and materials sent to investigative bodies  based on the studies conducted by State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, the total amount of the damage caused to the state has been amounted to 2 billion 442 million 807 thousand AMD.

 

By the lawsuits approved during the previous period, 3,663,924 AMD has actually been restored.
