30.07.2018 | A criminal case has been initiated regarding the absence of 26.1 tons of copper winding from an autotransformer owned by High-Voltage Electric Networks CJSC

On July 3, 2018 the head of State Control Service David Sanasaryan has forwarded to the General Prosecutor’s Office the results of a study conducted in the High Voltage Electric Networks CJSC of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia.


On the basis of the report received, studies have been conducted in the Department for the Protection of State Interests of the RA General Prosecutor's Office and the presented circumstances and related documents have been studied. The research results have been sent to Arabkir police department for the preparation of materials in the criminal procedure order.


Considering that, on the basis of the materials received, there are flagrant signs of a criminal act committed by the officials of “Energoremont” OJSC regarding the embezzlement on an especially large scale using their official position, the senior prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun Administrative Districts has initiated a criminal case according to p. 1 p. 3 art. 179 of the RA Criminal code.


With an instruction to conduct a preliminary investigation, the criminal case has been sent to the investigative department of Arabkir administrative district of the RA Investigative Committee.


Note: Every person suspected in or charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent unless proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code and unless the verdict comes into legal force.
