13.04.2018 | A new commission on ethics has been formed in the RA Prosecutor General's Office


According to the new law of the Republic of Armenia "On Prosecutor's Office", which came into force on April 9, an ethics commission has been formed adjunct to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.


The Ethics Commission consists of 7 members. It consists of 1 Deputy Prosecutor General (appointed by the Prosecutor General), 3 legal scholars and 3 prosecutors who are elected by the majority vote of the Prosecutor General, Deputies of the Prosecutor General (who are not members of the Ethics Commission), heads of the structural divisions of the Prosecutor General's Office, Prosecutors of Yerevan, Regions and Administrative Districts of Yerevan, as well as military prosecutors of Yerevan. The Ethics Commission is headed by the Deputy Prosecutor General.



By the order of Artur Davtyan, the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Hayk Aslanyan has been appointed as the Head of Ethics Commission.


The session of the RA Prosecutor General's Office has been held on April 13. During the session, members of the commission have been elected by secret ballot: Head of the Department of Supervision over Legality of Penalities and Other Meanes of Compulsion of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office- Grigori Poghosyan, Head of the department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office – Arsen Simonyan and the Deputy Military Prosecutor of the RA- Tigran Ambaryan.
