Only by the Department of State Interests Protection of RA general prosecutor's office for 2017 in various spheres of public administration, 62 studies of the state of protection of state interests were carried out.
In the reporting year, the prosecutors of the department filed 9 lawsuits, concerning the protection of state interests in a total amount of 336,918,045 AMD.
In addition, 13 criminal cases have been initiated in connection with a number of violations found and the total damage to the state has been 567,205,483 AMD. During the preliminary investigation of these criminal cases 14,436,694 AMD were recovered.
In particular, in the areas of social security, education and science, agriculture, management of public property and finance, communications and transport, environmental protection.
In the previous period, about 20,000,000 AMD were recovered from the filed lawsuits.
Research on state interests continues in the areas of social security, education and science, agriculture, finance management, taxes and state duties, communications and transport, energy and natural resources, protection of economic competition, environmental protection, land use and other areas.
