Official indicators of crime are regularly reviewed by the Divisions of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia.
The total number of crimes has been increased by 915, or by 5.4%. In 2016 this indicator was 78.1%.
If during 11 months of 2016 in the republic have been registered 2,800 grave crimes, 173 particularly grave crimes and 60 crimes committed with the use of firearms and ammunition, then during the same period of 2017 it has been registered 240 grave crimes – by 396 or 14.1% less, 161 particularly grave crimes – by 11 or 18.3% less, as well as 49 cases involving the use of firearms and ammunition - by 12 or 6.9% less.
During 11 months of the previous year, 47 cases (73.4%) out of 64 murders have been detected while during the same period of 2017, 34 cases (73.9%) out of 46 cases have been detected.
Compared with the same period of last year, the number of cases of giving, recieving has been increased by 73, or 117% (2016-62, 2017-135).
