28.11.2017 | The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Artur Davtyan has held a meeting with the IRI Prosecutor General of Mohammad Jafar Montazeri in Saint Petersburg

The RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan, who has paid a working visit to Russia with a view to participate in the meeting of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of Member-states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS CCPG)  and the Prosecutors General of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) today has held a meeting in St. Petersburg with the Prosecutor General of IRI Mohammad Jafar Montazeri .

During the meeting, both parties has highly appreciated the relations established between the prosecutor offices of the two friendly countries. They have also stressed the need to develop thier cooperation.

The Prosecutor General of Iran has mentioned that mutual respect and trust between the two countries create full conditions for the joint struggle against international crime, as well as for uniting efforts and expanding cooperation in the field of legal assistance. Mr. Montazeri has invited Arthur Davtyan to visit Iran to discuss the issues on improving the effectiveness of the activities of the prosecuters offices of two countries.

The RA Prosecutor General has stressed that two countries have established warm relations, which also have a positive impact on strengthening close ties between law enforcement agencies of the two countries.

The RA Prosecutor General, in his turn, has invited Mr Montazeri to visit Armenia next year - to take part in the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary  of the RA Prosecutor's Office, expressing confidence that this visit will further strengthen their cooperation.
