22.08.2017 | The number of grave and particularly grave crimes has decreased, and the number of crime detection has improved

Analysis of statistics shows that the number of grave and especially grave crimes has decreased, the number of crime detection has improved. Particularly in the first half of 2017. the number of grave and especially grave crimes involving the use of firearms and ammunition has significantly decreased.

If in the first 6 months of 2016 in Armenia has been registered 1613 grave crimes, 116 particularly grave crimes, 36 cases involving the use of ammunition and firearms, then in the first half of 2017 in Armenia has been registered 1210 grave crimes, 91 particularly grave crimes and 27 cases with the use of ammunition and firearms.

Thus by the results of the first half of this year, in comparison with the same period of the past year in Armenia has been registered grave crimes by 403 or 25% less, - especially grave crimes by 25 or 21.6% less, 9 particularly grave crimes were also registered, or 21.6% less compared to the same period last year.

In the first half of 2016 has been registered 39 cases of murder, 17 cases of attempts to murder, during the same period in 2017 - 25 cases of murder, 13 cases of attempts to murder, which attests to the fact that the cases of murder has been reduced by 35.9%, and cases of attemptes to murder by 23.5%.

Positive dynamics have also been registered in case of damage to health. If in January-June 2016 have been registered 560 such cases, in the same period of 2017 in Armenia have been registered 497 cases. The decline has been 23.5%.

Positive dynamics have also been registered in case of fatal road crashes and hooliganism. Particularly, in the first half of 2016 in the republic have been registered, 77 fatal road crashes, 108 cases of hooliganism, in the meantime, during the same period of 2017 in Armenia have been registered 68 fatal road crashes and 84 cases of hooliganism. The decline of fatal road crashes has been 11.7%, and cases of hooliganism - 22.2%.

During the first 6 month of 2016, 31 cases of robbery and 658 cases of theft with illegal penetration into the dwelling have been registered in the republic.

According to the data for January-June of this year, compared to the last year the number of robbery has been decreased by 29.5%.

In the first half of 2017, 66 cases of recieving bribery, giving bribery and mediation in bribery have been registered. The growth has been 112.9%.
