On February 8 and 9 the RA Prosecutor General held meetings in Kotayk and Aragatsotn regions. Responsible officials of other law enforcement systems of the above mentioned regions were also present at the final meetings of 2016. During the meetings, the prosecutor of Kotayk region Vigen Militonyan and the prosecutor of Aragatsotn region Davit Veqilyan reported to the RA Prosecutor General about the general criminal and legal situation of these regions for 2016 and on the work done by the prosecutor's office.
The RA Prosecutor General instructed to be maximally careful in matters aimed at preventing crime. Because of the growth of particularly grave crimes in the territory of each region, he instructed to take measures to prevent crime with the aim to achieve a positive result by cooperating with all law enforcement bodies of the regions.
The RA Prosecutor General stressed the particular importance of disclosure of the reasons, which generate crime in the regions, emphasizing the need for a more active use of prosecutorial impact.
During the meetings in the regions, the RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan instructed prosecutors of regions to be consistent towards the progress of resolution of the appeals received from the citizens, due to the urgency of cases, to organize reception for all those citizens, who have problematic issues and need to discuss them.
A number of working issues were discussed during the meetings.
Summing up the results, the RA Prosecutor General gave concrete instructions on each region, based on the state of crime in a given area.
