The Prosecutor General's Office demands to confiscate immovable properties and financial means from the Former Director of the branch "Vayots Dzor Forestry"

On March 5, 2025, the Anti-Corruption Court accepted into proceeding another case filed by the Prosecutor General's Office regarding confiscation of property of illegal origin.

 

The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of the Prosecutor General’s Office claimed the court to confiscate in favor of the Republic of Armenia from the Former Director of the branch "Vayots Dzor Forestry", Murad Harutyunyan and his affiliates:

 

  • A shop located on Yelpin 6th Street of Areni community of Vayots Dzor Region.
  • A plot of land located on Yerevanyan Highway of Yeghegnadzor community of Vayots Dzor Region.
  • An administrative building located on Andranik Street of Yeghegnadzor community of Vayots Dzor Region.
  • 6 percent of an apartment located on Arsenyan Street of Yeghegnadzor community of Vayots Dzor Region.
  • 5 percent of real estate located on H. Shiraz Street of Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan City.
  • 70 percent of an apartment located on M. Mazmanyan Street of Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan City.
  • 78 percent of a AMD 12 million dram deposit invested in one of the banks,
  • AMD 11 million 269 thousand drams as the remnant of illegal funds.
  • AMD 34 million 527 thousand 865, which is not substantiated by the lawful income of the person, had an illicit origin and was transferred to the bona fide purchaser or could not be identified and confiscated.
