Today, Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia met the delegation led by Kristina Kvien, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to the Republic of Armenia.

Welcoming the guests, Anna Vardapetyan highlighted that U.S. Embassy in Armenia is one of the reliable partners of the Prosecutor General’s Office and they cooperate in different directions, including in the direction of the continuous development and improvement of professional knowledge and skills of the prosecutors.

The Prosecutor General of the Republic referred to the result of the effective cooperation between the competent authorities of the USA and the Prosecutor General’s Office in the scope of the criminal case initiated in Armenia—decision of the competent court of the USA. Let us remind that pursuant to the decision of the U.S. court the settlement agreement on the confiscation and sale at the highest market value of the private house located at the Los Angeles, USA, having a criminal origin and belonging to Gagik Khachatryan, former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia was approved. In this context Anna Vardapetyan thanked all the U.S. partners for their efforts directed at the strengthening of the public confidence in justice and effective cooperation.

Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia referred to the development of cooperation in the field of legal assistance as well as deepening of collaboration in the fields of confiscation of property of illicit origin and fight against the cybercrime.
