On November 30, 2023 the Prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against Ts.A. holding the position of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Service  of “Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences” SNCO (hereinafter referred to as “SNCO”) during 2018-2022 for intentionally committing such actions, which evidently fall out of the scope of his powers.

By the criminal proceedings examined in the Anti-corruption committee it was found out that Ts.A. holding the position of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Service and being Senior lecturer of “Philosophy and History”, “UNESCO Chair on Human rights, Democracy and Political Science” chairs, without being involved in the commissions according to the order of the Rector of the SNCO, acted out of the scope of his powers.

In particular, during 2019-2022 he organized the retaking of the exams of the following subjects with the students (R.N., H.S., M.A., M.Ts., S.A., V.M., N.P.) who received a failing grade in English—“1^st foreign language (English) 4”, “Written speech (English)”, “Written speech (English) 2”, “Oral speech (English) 3” and marked a passing grade “60”, signing in the Student record book instead of the member of the committee.

A public criminal prosecution was initiated under part 1 of article 309 of the Criminal Code (4 counts) adopted on 18.04.2003 and under part 1 of article 441 of the current Criminal Code (3 counts).

Notice:  A person charged with any crime shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code—by the judgment came into legal force.
