06.08.2019 | By the cases of crimes detected during the previous year, the damage caused to the state amounted to 110 billion 500 million AMD

Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia has reviewed and summed up the state of the damage caused to the state in the period of 01.06.2018 and 30.06.2019, as well as its recovery.

 

In the result of summing up, it has been found out that by the crimes detected during this period within the framework of 742 criminal cases initiated by the competent authorities of the Republic of Armenia, the total amount of damage caused to the state amounted to 110 billion 500 million AMD and from this amount 30 billion 182 million AMD have been recovered.

 

From the total detected amount, the damage in the amount of about 15 billion 768 million AMD is guaranteed by the necessary criminal procedure mechanism - the arrest imposed on the currency. And the rest - by the arrest imposed on movable and immovable property, as well as on financial accounts.

 

In addition to the damage caused by the crime to the state, during the preliminary investigation of these criminal cases, the property obligations have not been fulfilled in the amount of 1 billion 413 million AMD and fine in the amount of 1 billion 952 million AMD.

 

During the preliminary investigation, the unfulfilled property obligations have been fully paid to the state budget, and from the fine to the state budget have been paid the amount of 1 billion 943 million AMD.
