01.07.2019 | Congratulatory message of RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan at the solemn session convened on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the RA Prosecutor's Office

Dear Prime Minister

Dear guests

Dear colleagues

Dear veterans

I am glad to welcome you on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the RA Prosecutor’s Office, which is of particular importance for our system.

First of all, congratulations to our beloved veterans. Thank you for your contribution to the development and strengthening of our State and system. At such professional holidays, it is common to talk about achievements, to evaluate the work. In this context, I would like to focus on the values and priorities on which we build today's and tomorrow's prosecutor's office. Today, our prosecutors are losing their sense of time, often depriving themselves of the opportunity to be in a warm family environment. Thank you for the sacrifice and willpower in the name of professional duty.

Dear Colleagues,

One of the most important results of last year’s events, which I have repeatedly stated, is a sharp increase in public intolerance towards crimes and especially corruption, injustice and unprecedented citizens ’initiatives to inform law enforcement agencies about criminal phenomena, in particular the prosecutor’s office.

The achievement of public trust is the result of the tireless, coordinated work of all law enforcement agencies, based on mutual notions of mutual respect, a spirit of cooperation, the fight against crime and support for each other in a ruthless war for internal security. I am grateful to all our colleagues from other law enforcement agencies for established healthy working relationships and effective cooperation. We have already considered and addressed the issue of expanding the legal mechanisms for the return of stolen assets from the point of view of increasing the effectiveness of the fight against corruption. We see a solution through legislative changes.

Dear Colleagues,

We are building a modern, active prosecutor's office, based on the independence and neutrality, the concept of public responsibility. The true purpose of the prosecutor is to be a professional, responsible, conscientious, but persistent civil servant, able to make justified decisions. An individual who realizes the degree of responsibility of this work, refers to his position  and work as a mission. A person who treats a citizen of his country with respect and reverence.

Peace, creative and fruitful work and new achievements for all of us for the common good.
