24.06.2019 | The funds allocated for the needs of Kapan forestry and residents of Syunik region have been spent on the purchase of a car for the acting head of the RA Forestry Committee. Criminal case has been initiated

State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia has conducted large-scale studies at “Hayantar” SNCO within the framework of filing a lawsuit in defense of state interests, and at the first stage of the studies the scope of material acquisitions of SNCO have been considered.

 

In the result of studying the documents submitted by “Hayantar” SNCO, it has been found out that under the donation agreement of January 23, 2018, the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia and the Bureau for the Implementation of the Assistance Program for Nature Reserves-Armenia have allocated 106.192.800 AMD to Hayantar.

 

However, it has been found out that, by the offer of SNCO, this agreement without reasons has been changed, and instead of a tractor and a car "UAZ PATRIOT" under an agreement dated 27.09.2018. << Toyota LC Prado >> has been acquired /with the total amount of 25.700.000 AMD/, which has been transferred for free use to the acting head of the RA Forestry Committee.

 

In connection with the aforementioned case, the senior prosecutor of State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 308 and Part 1 of Article 315 of the RA Criminal Code.

 

Preliminary investigation has been instructed to the RA Investigative Committee.

 

Notice: Every person suspected in or charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent unless proved guilty in the manner prescribed by the RA Criminal Procedure Code and unless the verdict comes into legal force.
