18.03.2019 | On the initiative of the RA Prosecutor’s Office comprehensive measures to prevent home burglary will also be activated in the administrative districts of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun of Yerevan.

To ensure the fulfillment of the instructions of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia on February 27 at a meeting of the RA Prosecutor’s Office Board on strengthening the fight against burglary, оn March 15, a meeting has been organized in the Prosecutor's Office of  Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts of Yerevan with the participation of the heads of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts  and representatives of law enforcement agencies of the same administrative districts.

 

During the meeting, the Prosecutor of the administrative districts Sisak Khachatryan, presenting the figures for last year’s burglary criminal cases has  noted that the detection rate of registered burglaries is worrying.

 

In particular, 125 cases of burglary have been  registered in Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan as compared to the previous 65, that is, 60 cases more.  53 cases of burglary have been registered in  Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district, compared to 21 of the  last year, i.e. 32 cases more.

 

During the meeting, the prosecutor of the administrative districts has given  specific instructions to the heads of the police departments to increase the routes of the police patrol service,  including  night time , paying special attention to the risk areas.

 

The heads of  Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun districts have presented the work done so far in this area.
