27.09.2018 | Restored material damage in corruption related criminal cases committed in the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia in the first half of 2018 is about 13 times higher than in the same period last year

The RA Military Prosecutor's Office has summed up the work carried out in the field of protecting State interests in the first half of 2018.

 

During the reporting period, 168 studies have been conducted, as a result of which the damage to the state  has been  registered in the amount of 264,134,234 drams, of which 62,326,191 drams have been recovered.

 

According to the results of surveys conducted in the first half of 2018, 66 materials have been  prepared for the protection of State interests, 28 criminal cases have been  initiated.

 

The damage caused to the State by these criminal cases is amounted 176.945.486 drams as compared to 53.915.618 drams for the same period of the  last year. 20 criminal cases, the preliminary investigation of which has been completed regarding 44 persons have been sent to court with an  indictment. It should be noted that material damage in corruption related criminal cases committed in the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia in the first half of 2017 has been amounted to 69,564,009 drams, of which 29,415,679 drams have been  recovered in pre-trial proceedings.
