12.01.2018 | The RA Prosecutor's Office and the anti-corruption coalition of CSOs have started to take measures stipulated by the Memorandum of Cooperation

The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Artur Davtyan today has had a meeting with the representatives of the anti-corruption coalition of CSOs of Armenia, which unites 95 non-governmental organizations.

The purpose of the meeting has been the issues related to the implementation of joint measures to develop more effective mechanisms for public awareness and participation in the fight against corruption crimes within the priorities of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the RA Prosecutor's Office and the anti-corruption coalition of CSOs.

Artur Davtyan has mentioned that the consistent and uncompromising struggle of law enforcement agencies in the fight against corruption has been as important as increasing  public trust toward these works.

During the meeting, the issues related to the development of mechanisms aimed at ensuring the development of certain criteria as a legitimate reason for initiating criminal cases based on media publications containing information on corruption crimes have been discussed. The parties have come to an agreement to discuss these issues during the work meetings in the near future.
